Welcome to our Big Red Barn

 -Normangee, Texas-

Conveniently located between Houston, Austin, and Dallas

(1-3 hour drive by car).

Come to find rest and relaxation in a serene country setting, a warm southern hospitality, a big open sky during the day and thousands of stars at night, and our friendly farm animals.

Nestled in a peaceful and friendly town of Normangee, Texas. The newly renovated barn overlooks 110 acres of beautiful pastures.

Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted by our friendly chickens, geese, ducks, cows, guineas, the Great Pyrenees (Duke), the Golden Retriever (Jake), the Brown Labrador (Cocoa) plus 3 sweet cats.

While on a train tour in Europe, Dennis and his friend started thinking about building a barn with a home in it and drew out the plans.

After returning home, he turned his ideas into action. The red barn was built and originally used as a temporary home for Dennis. He lived there for a couple of years while building his family home.

There are no words to describe this amazing place.

We were immediately welcomed by the most loyal and caring dogs.

Duke, Jasper, Jake were beyond a pleasure to be around. Dennis and Christa were the epitome of Southern Hospitality. They make you feel so welcomed. They instantly felt like they were family.

WHAT OUR AIRBNB GUESTS SAY

“What a lovely spot! And I’m talking about the place, the hosts, and the animals! Beautiful countryside. Warm and welcoming hosts.

Jake and Duke are our new best friends. The space was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, comfy beds, fluffy towels, and all the little details that made our stay great. The kitchen is well equipped to cook most anything. Don’t forget to go out at night and look at all the stars.

Thank you for the tips on local restaurants, too. This is one of my favorite airbnb stays!.”
